Animal Farm - George Orwell (CD)
When a group of mistreated animals take over Manor Farm, they think their dreams have come true. Over time the anmals build a small society, under the intellegence of the pigs, and rename the farm 'Animal Farm'. They also create their own set of rules called 'The Seven Commandments' to base their own conduct on. Eventually the farm is taken over by Napoleon, who is a power grubbing dictator, and his vicious dogs. Time and time again Napoleon sets new rules to benifit himself and the other pigs. With help from his valuable ally Squealer, whom is a sly-talking pig, Napoleon is able to bend the rules and not get into trouble for his own crimes. Over time he bends more and more rules to become the unthinkable. 'Animal Farm' by George Orwell is a great book for fantasy readers, whether adults or children. His way of hinting to what happens next makes the reader thirst for the conclusion. I, myself think that this book is great, it amazes me how this author thought of such a interesting story about such a strong topic. Personally, I think that the theme is 'Be what you are whether animal or human' to understand this theme you have to read the book yourself.
